Where in the world is Crummystone?

Even though Missy and Augie's wedding hadn't officially launched online, we have had several inquiries about their wedding. The first question everyone asks is "What/Where in the world is Crummystone? It looks fabulous!" Well, it is fabulous. I don't know all the details about this location, but I know it used to be a water treatment facility in Carlinville, and then Augie's parents made it their home.

It is as charming as it looks, and I couldn't think of a better place for the two to get married. The vibe their wedding had was one of the best I've experienced. Just a laid back, comfortable vibe. And they made certain that everyone felt welcome, and were wonderful gracious hosts.

The weather was great. It was raining that morning, and I was worried, but everything cleared off and mother nature gave us a beautiful day.
We started and Missy & Augie's home - which was beautiful itself.

Missy getting ready - Lots of deep breaths!

When a bride and groom sees each other before the ceremony, we call it "First Glance". This is Missy & Augie's First Glance.

I always encourage bride and grooms who are considering seeing each other prior to do it! When we get that opportunity, there and up being SO many more photos, and the photos all seem more relaxed. And everything IS more relaxed. And Brides and Grooms are ALWAYS happy that they decided to do it.

Then we headed to Crummystone and got some great shots.

They hauled in 4 dumptruck loads of sand for this beach themed wedding. It felt like you were somewhere tropical!

The food - holy smokes. Sushi, shrimp, pork, salmon, all amazing. And the drinks - although we didn't partake in - were all unique beers and margaritas, and any other drink you can imagine.

The beautiful night ended with some amazing fireworks.

So to answer everyones questions - Yes, Missy and Augie's wedding REALLY was as cool as it looks. An event we'll always remember!
